Job summary

The START Center for Cancer Research is seeking a Manager, Clinical Business Operations to ensure clinical activity data accuracy across CTMS, EMR, and related systems at the San Antonio site. You will coordinate with nursing, pharmacy, and study administration to align documentation with budgeting and billing constructs.

This role drives data integrity for financial processes, resolves invoice discrepancies, and partners with revenue cycle leadership to optimize billing and revenue recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in clinical research operations, healthcare revenue cycle, or related areas.
• Knowledge of OnCore or similar CTMS and familiarity with EDC platforms and ERP systems.
• Ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies across multiple systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication for finance-focused audiences.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate CTMS and FileMaker data entry for site-specific clinical activity.
• Bridge clinical documentation and billing system entry; coordinate with nursing, pharmacy, and study coordinators.
• Monitor data quality metrics, error rates, and invoice rejection patterns at the site.
• Investigate data discrepancies and document corrections per change-control procedures.
• Support sponsor invoice disputes and provide data to validate or correct invoicing.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle and site leadership to resolve billing exceptions and AR status.
