Job Description: Clinical Compliance Specialist

The Clinical Compliance Specialist (CCS) is responsible for coordinating student and faculty compliance requirements and maintaining compliance records for all students and faculty engaged in experiential learning activities. The CCS confirms partner clinical site requirements and ensures both students and faculty have fulfilled requirements prior to placement. The CCS escalates instances of non-compliance promptly to ensure the university remains compliant with clinical partners.

Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience working in clinical, healthcare, office/auditing, or higher education settings.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in healthcare administration, business administration or related field.
  • 2 years experience in clinical, healthcare, office/auditing, or higher education settings.
  • Sales and marketing experience.
Pay:

Compensation is based on qualifications, experience, and circumstances. The salary range is $43,350 to $58,650. Benefits include tuition waiver and reimbursement, health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement plan.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support Faculty and Students in Clinical Requirements
    • Manage documentation related to clinical education, including health screenings, immunizations, CPR certifications, background checks, and compliance with OSHA and HIPAA.
    • Communicate with students and faculty to ensure fulfillment of clinical compliance requirements.
    • Facilitate clinical readiness courses.
    • Escalate non-compliance issues for intervention.
  2. Process and Report on Clinical Compliance
    • Maintain accurate records and reporting capabilities.
    • Follow communication protocols to inform leadership of non-compliance.
    • Monitor expiration dates and renewals for compliance.
  3. Support Accreditation and Regulatory Compliance
    • Collaborate on regulatory reporting and compliance initiatives.
    • Assist in seeking clinical affiliations in new markets, ensuring adherence to state and board requirements.
    • Comply with state/local clinical expectations for affiliations.
