The Clinical Compliance Specialist (CCS) is responsible for coordinating student and faculty compliance requirements and maintaining compliance records for all students and faculty engaged in experiential learning activities. The CCS confirms partner clinical site requirements and ensures both students and faculty have fulfilled requirements in advance of placement into the facility. The CCS escalates instances of non-compliance in a timely manner to ensure the university remains compliant with clinical partners' requirements.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience working in clinical, healthcare, office/auditing, or higher education settings.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field.
  • 2 years experience working in clinical, healthcare, office/auditing, or higher education settings.
  • Sales and marketing experience.

Pay: Compensation is determined based on qualifications, experience, and circumstances of each hire. It is uncommon for new employees to start near the top of the salary range. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a tuition waiver and reimbursement program, health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement savings plan. The salary range for this position is $43,350 to $58,650.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Faculty and Students to Fulfill Clinical Requirements
    • Collect, manage, and evaluate documentation related to clinical education, including health screenings, immunizations, CPR certifications, campus training, background and drug screening, fingerprinting, and compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards.
    • Communicate with assigned populations to ensure fulfillment of clinical compliance requirements in advance of placement.
    • Facilitate clinical readiness courses with students.
    • Escalate non-compliant individuals for intervention.
  • Facilitate Processing and Reporting on Clinical Compliance for Assigned Population
    • Update records to maintain reporting capabilities.
    • Follow communication protocols to inform leadership of non-compliance and needed interventions.
    • Maintain updated records of clinical site requirements to ensure compliance.
    • Monitor expiration dates and renewals to ensure compliance.
  • Support Accreditation and Regulatory Compliance Initiatives
    • Collaborate with compliance leadership for regulatory reporting related to clinical activities.
    • Adhere to guidance for clinical affiliation in new markets, aligning with state and board requirements.
    • Meet state/local consortium clinical expectations for affiliations.
