Job summary

Sysmex America, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Applications Specialist I to support the equipment and middleware integration from order to go-live in the laboratory environment.

This role includes on-site instrument/middleware training, parameterization, rules development/testing, and serving as the technical consultant for customers while assisting sales objectives.The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, pre- and post-sale support, and extensive travel up to 80%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years in hematology or medical lab setting.
• ASCP or CLS certification required.
• Experience with LIS/HIS/WAM systems preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement Sysmex instruments, middleware, and reagents at customer sites and manage the integration timeline.
• Troubleshoot reagent, middleware, or instrument issues to improve customer independence.
• Develop and deliver training programs (workshops/on-site) for customers and Technical Services.
• Manage time and territory, document activity, and provide data to support process improvements.
• Provide technical information to management and peers; support sales objectives.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills with urgency.
• Provide pre-sale and post-sale technical support including demos and trade shows.
• Manage company assets and expenses within guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
