Job summary

Sysmex America, Inc. is seeking a Specialist I, Clinical Applications to support laboratory integration of Sysmex solutions. The role combines technical instrument support with on-site training and customer collaboration across multiple states.

You will travel extensively (up to 80%), help with pre- and post-sale activities, train staff, troubleshoot, and work with LIS/HIS systems, contributing to successful patient-care outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years experience, or Associate's degree with Medical Technologist/MLT and 10+ years.
• Active ASCP or CLS certification required.
• Supervisory experience highly desirable.
• Experience with LIS, HIS or WAM preferred.
• Strong Hematology experience; strong written and oral communications skills required.

Responsibilities

• Implement Sysmex instruments, middleware, and reagents into customer sites/laboratories: Plan the implementation process; work with customers to take ownership of the instrument; assist customers with meeting regulatory and validation requirements.
• Perform troubleshooting on reagent, middleware, or instrument performance to improve customer self-sufficiency; diagnose probable causes and provide solutions.
• Develop and implement training programs (workshops and onsite training) for customers and Technical Services.
• Manage time, territory, and accounts; document activity; promote customer satisfaction; support sales objectives.
• Provide technical information to management and peers; support sales objectives and directives.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, persuasive, and communication skills with a sense of urgency.
• Provide both pre-sale and post-sale support including presentations and demos.
• Manage company assets and expenses within guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
