Job summary

Vail Health Hospital is seeking a Clinic Scheduler to manage appointment scheduling, patient coordination, and communications with providers. The role involves answering calls, collecting patient demographics, and coordinating with multiple departments to ensure timely care.

Qualifications

• 2 years administration or similar experience preferred.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls, field scheduling questions, and direct calls to appropriate parties.
• Schedule medical appointments by coordinating patients, providers, locations, and payers.
• Schedule appointments, tests and procedures using the EHR scheduling software.
• Obtain patient demographics (address, phone, insurance) accurately.
• Distribute faxes and manage needed requests.
