Job summary

Providence Health & Services Oregon is hiring a Patient Care Coordinator who serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service in person or by phone and coordinating between patients and care teams throughout the administrative flow.

The role involves front and back-office duties, scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and EMR documentation in EPIC, with 8- or 10-hour shifts and no weekend work required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in medical/healthcare setting.
• Experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact, providing exceptional customer service to patients and visitors in person and by phone.
• Act as a liaison between patients, providers, and care teams to ensure a smooth patient experience.
• Perform front and back-office duties, including scheduling, registration, insurance verification, updating demographic information and patient support.
• Maintain clinic efficiency through accurate documentation and adherence to workflows within the electronic medical record (EPIC).
• Demonstrate growth and proficiency in supporting Providence's mission of compassionate, high-quality care.
