Job summary

Children’s National Medical Center is seeking a Clinic Operations Representative to support patient services and administrative functions in a fast-paced Shaw clinic. You will handle patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification and coordination for in-clinic and specialty appointments.

You will interact with families, physicians and staff, following standard procedures and ensuring accurate data entry.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience billing, patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification and screening required.
• Ambulatory Services training and competency assessments, including a mock clinic; must type at least 35 WPM.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient services and administrative support in clinic operations.
• Schedule patients; verify demographics and insurance; prepare for appointments; update systems.
• Collect co-payments and records; assist with cash handling and billing prep.
• Answer calls, manage mail, and maintain office files and reception area.
• Promote safety and ensure accurate, timely communication and documentation.
