Responsibilities

• Schedule patients accurately using the department's scheduling system.
• Complete online registration with parent/guardian in a professional manner.
• Collect and verify demographic and insurance information; update systems accordingly.
• Reschedule missed appointments and manage follow-ups at check out.
• Greet patients/parents courteously and verify information in the system.
• Obtain insurance and consent forms; ensure documentation meets policy requirements.
• Verify insurance eligibility and pre-authorization/referral requirements in advance.
• Explain billing basics and discuss payment options with families as needed.
• Handle cash collections and maintain departmental cash controls.
• Support office tasks: filing, mail distribution, and email response within 24 hours.
