Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification or obtained within three months of hire.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and understand English and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
• Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality with patient information.
• Demonstrates Trinity Health Mission, Vision and Values in daily work.

Responsibilities

• Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
• Performs patient check-in at the time of visit and completes steps to ensure admitting process is efficient and compliant.
• Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately.
• Schedule appointments according to office guidelines.
• Obtain accurate patient and insurance information, collecting copays and deductible amounts.
• Copy/scan patient access related materials into the EHR.
