Job summary

Vail Health is seeking a Clinic Scheduler to manage appointment scheduling through our EHR system, answer patient inquiries, and direct calls to the right departments. The role emphasizes accuracy in collecting demographics, insurance data, and coordinating with providers, locations, and payers.

Two years of administrative or medical office experience is preferred, along with knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA/OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• 2 years administration or similar experience preferred.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls and field scheduling questions.
• Direct calls to appropriate parties and take/distribute messages.
• Schedule appointments, tests, and procedures in coordination with patients, providers, locations, and payers.
• Obtain patient demographics and insurance information accurately.
• Assist with distributing faxes and managing requests.
