Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking an Experienced Line Clearance Trimmer to service the Guernsey and Tuscarawas County regions, including Cambridge, Dover and New Philadelphia. This on-site role requires climbing, pruning, and safe operation of equipment for major electric utilities.

Prefer candidates with a CDL and line clearance experience, plus a valid driver's license. Excellent benefits and a strong team culture accompany a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Must complete Davey Tree Orientation Program on hire.
• Must complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving courses on hire.
• Required: valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: CDL-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement.
• Preferred: line clearance experience or related tree work.
• Preferred: pesticide licenses if state law requires.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Perform pruning and removal for major electric utility clients safely and skillfully.
• Prune treetops and remove damaged trees; repair as needed.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs and other surfaces.
• Operate and maintain all tools and equipment, including chainsaws and aerial lifts.
• Work as part of a crew with ground crew and foreperson.
