Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking a Line Clearance Trimmer with CDL holder and/or climbing experience to service Carroll County, Ohio.

This on-site role involves climbing trees, pruning and removing limbs for major electric utilities, and working with a ground crew under a foreperson. Responsibilities include operating chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, applying pruning guidelines, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Love of outdoors.
• Ability to complete Davey Tree orientation on hire.
• Ability to complete First Aid, CPR and defensive driving courses on hire.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• CDL Class A/B with Air Brake Endorsement preferred.
• Line clearance experience or related tree work preferred.
• Pesticide licenses preferred where state law requires it.
• ISA Certified Arborist/Tree Worker/TCIA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using Davey’s DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS systems.
• Prune treetops and remove damaged limbs for electric utilities.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and pruning guidelines.
• Maintain, prepare and operate chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and related tools.
• Operate as part of a crew with ground staff and foreperson.
