Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking a Line Clearance Climbing Trimmer to join our Lebanon, Ohio service team.

The role involves climbing trees with DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems, pruning and removing for major electric utilities, and working safely with chainsaws, chippers and aerial lifts. The ideal candidate enjoys the outdoors, can complete Davey onboarding, and has a valid drivers license; CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Required: valid drivers license.
• Preferred: Commercial Drivers License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement.
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work.
• Preferred: pesticide licenses/certificates per state law.
• Preferred: ISA/TCIA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Perform tree pruning and removal for major electric utility providers.
• Prune treetops and repair damaged trees by trimming or removal.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and pruning guidelines.
• Maintain, prepare and operate tools and equipment such as chainsaws and aerial lifts.
• Work as part of a crew with ground crew and foreperson.
• Advancement height depends on performance.
