Davey Tree Surgery Co. in Cambridge, OH is seeking an Experienced Line Clearance Trimmer to join our utility crew.

Ideal candidates are climbers, may hold a CDL, and will service Guernsey and Tuscarawas counties including Cambridge, Dover, and New Philadelphia. We offer outdoor work with climbing systems (DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS), pruning and removal of trees for major electric utilities, and operation of chainsaws, chippers and aerial lifts, all while working safely with a supportive ground crew

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors is essential for outdoor work.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Required: valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: CDL-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement.
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work.
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist and/or TCIA Tree Care Safety credentials.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Prune treetops and remove damaged trees to protect assets and maintain aesthetics.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other structures.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines.
• Maintain, prepare and operate tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Operate as part of a crew with ground staff and foreperson.
