Davey Tree Surgery Co. is actively seeking an experienced Line Clearance Trimmer for the Carroll County, Ohio region. CDL holder or climbing experience preferred; must have a valid driver’s license.

The role involves pruning and removing trees to support major electric utility providers, with the crew format including foreperson and ground crew. The position is full-time, hourly, with a competitive rate of $22.00–$24.00 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B) with Air Brake Endorsement.
• Preferred: line clearance experience or related tree work.
• Preferred: pesticide licenses/certificates as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Perform pruning and removal for major electric utilities.
• Remove broken limbs from lines, roofs, and other objects.
• Identify trees and apply industry pruning guidelines.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, lifts).
• Work as part of a crew with foreperson and ground crew.
• Growth potential is based on performance.
