Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. in Lebanon, Ohio, is seeking an experienced Line Clearance Climbing Trimmer to join our on-site utility tree care team.

You will climb using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems and perform pruning and removal for major electric utility providers, maintaining safety and efficiency. The role emphasizes teamwork with a crew and foreperson, operating chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts, while expanding your expertise in line clearance practices and safety.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Required: valid driver’s license
• Preferred: CDL-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work
• Preferred: pesticide licenses and related certificates, if state law requires
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®

Responsibilities

• Climb Trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Perform tree pruning and removal for major electric utility providers.
• Prune treetops and repair damaged trees by trimming or removal.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and pruning guidelines.
• Maintain, prepare and operate tools and equipment.
• Work as a crew member with ground crew and foreperson.
