Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking an experienced Line Clearance Climbing Trimmer to service Medina and Lorain County regions in Ohio. CDL preferred; you will prune, trim, and remove trees around utility infrastructure using both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.

Qualifications

• Must complete Davey Tree Orientation Program on hire.
• Must complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course on hire.
• Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred).
• Line clearance/tree work experience preferred.
• Certifications: ISA Arborist/Tree Worker/TCIA Safety Professional preferred.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems.
• Perform pruning and removal for utility providers.
• Remove broken limbs from lines, roofs and other objects.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and pruning guidelines.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment safely.
• Work as part of a crew with ground crew and foreperson.
• Growth potential based on performance.
