Job summary

National Veterinary Associates is seeking a friendly Veterinary Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our Kirkwood clinic. You’ll handle front desk tasks, greet clients and pets, and help create a calm, organized visit for every patient.

In this full-time role, you’ll schedule appointments, answer calls and emails, maintain patient records, and assist with check-in and payment processing. A positive attitude and teamwork are essential to support our veterinary team.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Top-notch customer service with professionalism and kindness.
• Familiarity with animal care is a plus.
• Bonus points for knowledge of lab procedures or veterinary critical care.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment while staying detail oriented.
• Basic computer skills for scheduling, records, and payment processing.

The Role:

As our Veterinary Receptionist , you’ll be the smiling face and friendly voice that welcomes clients and their pets. You’ll be the first point of contact, making every visit feel smooth, organized, and stress-free for both humans and animals alike.

• Schedule appointments and manage our busy clinic calendar
• Answer calls, emails, and messages promptly and professionally
• Keep client records up-to-date, including medical history and insurance details
• Assist with check-in and check-out, including payment processing
• Share helpful information about our services, products, and procedures
• Keep the reception area tidy, welcoming, and pet friendly
• Work closely with our veterinary team to keep the clinic running smoothly

What We’re Looking For:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A natural ability to deliver top notch customer service with professionalism and kindness
• Familiarity with animal care is a plus (pet grooming, dog training, equine care, animal husbandry, or pet care experience)
