Job summary

McCarter & English, LLP is seeking a Client Reporting Specialist who may be based in any office location. You will work with client teams to ensure outside counsel guideline (OCG) billing compliance and to develop, maintain, and distribute reports, dashboards, and other insight tools for clients.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of quantitative, analytical experience, strong Excel/Office skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year full-time quantitative analytical experience or equivalent
• Fluency in legal dispute lifecycles and exposure to litigation deliverables
• Experience with complex litigation workflows
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Highly organized with strong communication skills
• Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays
• Associate degree or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Liaise between the firm and clients to ensure adherence to outside counsel guidelines with emphasis on financial and staffing reports
• Review time and cost entries for compliance prior to invoicing and coordinate with project managers and billing partners
• Collaborate with client teams to gather data, maintain data integrity, and provide reports and insights to clients and firm management
• Support the development and improvement of reports and tools to aid data-driven decision-making for clients
• Work with clients, vendors and firm colleagues to tailor report methodologies to specific needs
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement through collaborative teamwork and constructive feedback
