Job summary

McCarter & English, LLP is seeking a Client Reporting Specialist who may be based in any office location. The role focuses on ensuring outside counsel guideline billing compliance and developing reports, dashboards, and insights for clients across practice areas.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of quantitative, analytical experience, fluency in litigation workflows, and strong Excel/Outlook/Word skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of full-time quantitative, analytical experience.
• Fluency in legal dispute lifecycles or exposure to litigation workflows.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with Excel, Outlook and Word.
• Associate degree or equivalent years of relevant experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between the firm and clients to ensure adherence to outside counsel guidelines and prepare reports and dashboards.
• Review time and cost entries for client requirements prior to invoicing and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Gather data, maintain data integrity, and provide reports and insights to clients and firm teams.
• Support development of reports and insight tools to enable data-based decisions.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and colleagues to tailor report methodologies.
• Foster continuous improvement through teamwork, feedback, and commitment to quality.
• Demonstrate flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays.
