Job summary

McCarter & English LLP is seeking a Client Reporting Specialist who may be based in any office location in the United States. The role partners with client teams to ensure outside counsel guideline billing compliance and to develop, maintain, and distribute reports and dashboards for multiple practice areas.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of quantitative, analytical experience and strong Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one full-time year of quantitative, analytical professional experience or equivalent part-time/internship experience.
• Fluency in legal dispute lifecycles or exposure to litigation workflows.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; focus on Excel, Outlook, Word.
• Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Associate degree or equivalent years of relevant experience.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between the firm and clients to ensure adherence to outside counsel guidelines with a focus on financial and staffing reports.
• Review time and cost entries to ensure client requirements are met before invoicing; coordinate with project managers and timekeepers.
• Gather data, maintain data integrity, and provide reports and insights to clients and firm management.
• Support the implementation and development of reports and insight tools to enable data-based decision-making.
