Job summary

McCarter & English, LLP seeks a Client Reporting Specialist to collaborate across practice areas and ensure outside counsel guideline (OCG) billing compliance. You will develop, maintain, and distribute reports, dashboards, and insights for client teams.

The role requires 1+ year of quantitative, analytical experience and fluency with litigation workflows. Office locations include multiple cities; occasional extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of full-time quantitative, analytical experience.
• Fluency in legal dispute lifecycles or exposure to litigation workflows.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willing to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Associate degree or equivalent years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between the firm and clients to ensure adherence to outside counsel guidelines, focusing on financial and staffing reports.
• Review time and cost entries for client invoicing and coordinate with project managers and partners to maintain compliance.
• Gather data, maintain data integrity, and provide reports and insights to clients and legal teams.
• Support the implementation, use, and development of reports and tools for data-based decisions.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and colleagues to tailor report methodologies and tools.
• Promote continuous improvement through teamwork and feedback.
• Possess 1+ year of full-time quantitative/analytical experience.
• Be proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, Word.
• Demonstrate exceptional organization and communication.
