Job summary

North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) seeks a Casework Associate I to serve as the client manager for WorkSource West. The role coordinates intake, assessment and placement into training programs, ensuring consumer safety and successful employment outcomes.

Responsibilities include managing records, orienting new clients, documenting progress in the case management system and providing updates during staffing sessions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of casework management and processes.
• Knowledge and experience working with persons with disabilities.
• Demonstrated experience working with the public and in groups.
• Valid driver’s license required for travel to perform job duties.

Responsibilities

• Gather and manage all consumers’ records required to assist in individual case decisions.
• Manage the orientation for all new consumers served on the assigned caseload.
• Provide evidentiary documentation of work with consumers in the case management system and updates for case staffing.
• Provide monthly updates and recommendations during case staffing based on consumer performance.
