Description of Work

This Casework Associate I/Human Service Coordinator position is located in Morganton at the WorkSource West Facility and under the supervision of the Unit Manager or designee, serves youth and adults with various disabilities. The primary purpose of this this position is to provide occupational and vocational assessment and training services to individuals with disabilities to help them prepare them for competitive employment in their community.

Job Responsibilities
  • Teaching appropriate work behaviors including productivity and safety awareness in real work situations
  • Daily set up of the work setting, workflow and monitoring for safety and quality assurance
  • Evaluating clients readiness for employment through observation, productivity standards, and work behaviors
  • Developing Individualized Training Plans (ITP) for clients based eligibility, observation, and case record documentation
  • Providing curriculum and skills training in career areas taught at the WorkSource West Facility
  • Documenting provision of services provided in accordance with clients rehabilitation plan
  • Supporting outreach activities to educate the community on services provided by NC EIPD and the WorkSource West Facility
Salary Range

Salary Range: $32,287 - $56,502

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in a discipline relative to the program served from an appropriately accredited institution; or Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in an area related to program that provides experience in techniques of casework or counseling; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
