Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Engineer to drive continuous improvement across warehousing and distribution operations in Texas. This role leverages data analytics, Lean, and automation to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost while mentoring CI resources and coordinating with general management.

The candidate will manage and execute transformative CI initiatives, partner with account management and customers, and report progress through structured A3 charters and Kaizen events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years in warehousing, transportation or manufacturing CI.
• Strong proficiency in data visualization and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience leading cross-functional CI projects and Kaizen events.

Responsibilities

• Collects data, performs statistical analysis, maps processes and identifies gaps; designs and executes CI plans.
• Leads high-impact CI projects across the operation to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth.
• Coaches teams in lean methods, conducts Kaizen events, and facilitates Value Stream Mapping.
