Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead CI Engineer to advance continuous improvement across warehousing, transportation, and manufacturing operations in Texas. You will lead data-driven initiatives, apply Lean tools, and drive large-scale CI projects with cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

The role interfaces with management and customers, mentors CI staff, and supports automation initiatives. A strong background in data analysis and Lean Six Sigma is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years in warehousing, transportation or manufacturing; or Master’s with 5+ years, MBA case allows undergrad engineering.
• 7+ years in warehousing, transportation and/or manufacturing experience.
• MS Office suite expertise including Access, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio.
• Data visualization (PowerBI/Tableau) and database programming (SQL, DAX).
• Lean Six Sigma, cPMP, ISO/QMS, APICS certifications; Lean methods mastery.
• Knowledge of CAD/Slotting tools, WMS (Manhattan, etc.), and labor planning.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis.
• Maps and documents processes and identifies gaps.
• Leads CI projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost and growth.
• Develops transformation plans and executes value-driven improvements.
• Interfaces with account management and customers; coaches teams in CI methods.
• Supports start-ups, retrofits, expansions, and automation projects.
