Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years hands-on collection experience with charged-off loans.
• Knowledge of bankruptcy laws, foreclosures, repossessions and FDCPA.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential member information with discretion.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Contact charged-off loan and negative share members to arrange repayment plans.
• Negotiate settlements to maximize return to the credit union.
• Meet monthly collection targets for charged-off accounts.
• Support small claims, repossessions, wage assignments, and bankruptcy processes.
• Ensure proper allocation of recovery payments to loans and ledgers.
