Nuvision Federal Credit Union seeks an experienced Charged-Off Loan Collector to manage recovery efforts and settlements for charged-off loans and negative shares. You will document activity in the collection system, pursue lawful recovery paths, and coordinate with management to meet monthly targets.

The role requires strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills, with a focus on compliance with bankruptcy and FDCPA rules.

Qualifications

• Two-year college degree or equivalent; business admin preferred.
• Experience with repossession and skip tracing is a plus.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Contact charged-off loan and negative share members to arrange repayments and document activities.
• Negotiate settlements to maximize recovery for the credit union.
• Meet monthly collection goals as per business plan.
• Assist with processing small claims, repossessions, legal actions, and bankruptcy for charged-off accounts.
• Ensure all recovery payments are allocated correctly to loans or GL accounts.
• Support continuous improvement and represent the credit union professionally.
