Nuvision Federal Credit Union in Florida is seeking a results-driven Debt Collections Specialist to manage charged-off loan portfolios. You will contact member accounts, arrange repayments, and document all activities in our collections system.

The role emphasizes negotiation to maximize recoveries, coordination with management on legal actions, and accurate allocation of payments while maintaining confidentiality and member respect.

Qualifications

• Three years of hands-on collection experience, incl. repossession, skip tracing, and recovery of charged-off loans.
• Strong knowledge of bankruptcy laws, foreclosures, repossessions and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, consulting and persuasion skills.
• Ability to work with members, management, and external third parties.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsabilités

• Contact charged-off loan and negative share members to arrange repayments and document activity.
• Negotiate settlements to maximize returns for the credit union.
• Meet monthly recovery targets and assist with bankruptcies, repossessions, and wage assignments.
• Ensure recovery payments are allocated correctly and support continuous improvement.
• Represent the credit union professionally and maintain confidentiality.
