Nuvision Federal Credit Union is seeking a Loss Mitigation Specialist to manage charged-off loan functions, including liquidation, recoveries, and maintenance. Under AVP supervision, you will track money recovered and report results, helping improve the credit union's bottom line.

Responsibilities include contacting charged-off borrowers, negotiating settlements, processing small claims, repossession and bankruptcy support, ensuring proper allocation, and maintaining confidentiality while

Qualifications

• Three years of hands-on collection experience with retail secured/unsecured loans.
• Strong background in bankruptcy laws, foreclosures, repossessions, and FDCPA.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to negotiate, consult, and persuade with members and external parties.

Responsibilities

• Contact charged-off loan and negative share members to arrange repayment plans and document activity.
• Negotiate settlements to maximize recoveries for the credit union.
• Collect a monthly minimum from charged-off accounts as per business plan goals.
• Assist management with processing small claims, repossessions, wage assignments and bankruptcy for charged-off accounts.
• Ensure recovery payments are properly allocated to loans or GL accounts.
• Support continuous improvement and represent the Credit Union professionally.
