Nuvision Credit Union is seeking a results-driven Collections – Loss Mitigation professional in Alaska. This non-exempt role handles charged-off loan functions, including liquidation, recoveries and maintenance, while tracking money collected and reporting results.

Responsibilities include contacting members, negotiating settlements, achieving monthly targets, and supporting legal actions as needed. Strong knowledge of bankruptcy, foreclosures, and FDCPA is essential, along with excellent

Qualifications

• Three years of hands-on collection experience with charged-off loans.
• Strong knowledge of bankruptcy laws, foreclosures, repossessions and FDCPA.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Contact charged-off loan and negative share members to arrange repayment and document activity.
• Negotiate settlements to maximize recovery for the credit union.
• Achieve monthly collection targets for charged-off accounts and negative shares.
• Assist with processing small claims, repossessions, and legal actions related to charged-off accounts.
• Ensure recovery payments are properly allocated to loans or GL accounts.
• Support continuous improvement and represent the credit union professionally.
• Maintain confidentiality of member information and collaborate with team.
