Nuvision Federal Credit Union in Alaska is hiring for a non-exempt Collections – Loss Mitigation role focused on charged-off loans. You will contact members, arrange repayment plans, and work with management on repossessions, bankruptcies, and legal processes while ensuring proper allocation of recovery payments.

The position requires a 2-year college degree or equivalent experience, 3 years in collections, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Competenze

• 3 years of hands-on collection experience with charged-off loans and related recovery activities.
• Knowledge of bankruptcy laws, foreclosures, and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
• Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Mansioni

• Contact charged-off loan and negative share members to arrange repayment plans and document activity.
• Negotiate settlements to maximize recovery for the credit union.
• Accumulate monthly collection targets from charged-off loans and negative shares.
• Assist with processing small claims, repossessions, wage assignments and bankruptcies.
• Ensure recovery payments are allocated to the correct loans or GL accounts.
