Job summary

Westlake Financial in Agoura Hills, CA is hiring for a Charged-Off Collector in a post-late stage collections role. You will contact customers, negotiate payment plans, and perform skip tracing to recover assets while meeting performance goals.

Requires strong skip-tracing skills, excellent negotiation and communication, and knowledge of FDCPA. Valid for fast-paced, detail-oriented environment with weekend overtime flexibility.

Qualifications

• Strong skip-tracing background with ability to locate customers and collateral.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and written skills with a professional attitude.
• Flexible availability - overtime and weekends as needed.
• Proven ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• FDCPA knowledge and state/federal collection law familiarity.
• Two years of automotive finance collections experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers via outbound and inbound calls to arrange payment solutions and bring accounts to resolution.
• Negotiate payment plans based on customer circumstances while meeting daily and monthly goals.
• Conduct extensive skip tracing to locate customers, vehicles, or potential leads.
• Maintain accurate records of account activity, updates, and vehicle recovery progress.
• Collaborate with team members to support department goals and share information on active cases.
• Handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
• Ensure confidentiality of all company operations, customer information, and technology systems.
