Job summary

Westlake Financial in Dallas, TX is hiring for a Post-Late Stage Collections role. You will contact customers by phone to arrange payment solutions and bring accounts to resolution, while negotiating plans to meet targets in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform extensive skip tracing, maintain records of activity, and collaborate with teammates to support department goals. A high school diploma is required with 2+ years in automotive finance, and proficiency in Excel/Outlook is expected;

Qualifications

• Strong skip-tracing background with the ability to locate customers and collateral effectively.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and written skills with a professional, goal-oriented attitude.
• Flexible availability – able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Proven ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Typing speed of at least 35 WPM with solid attention to detail.
• Driven to meet goals and motivated to grow within the department.
• Thorough understanding of state and federal collection laws, including the FDCPA.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the automotive finance industry, with knowledge of collections, repossession, and skip tracing.
• Ability to assess and value collateral accurately.
• Proficient with computer systems, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other office software.
• Comfortable using web-based applications and online skip-tracing tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers via outbound and inbound calls to arrange payment solutions and bring accounts to resolution.
• Negotiate payment plans based on customer circumstances while meeting daily and monthly performance goals.
• Conduct extensive skip tracing to locate customers, vehicles, or potential leads.
• Maintain accurate records of account activity, updates, and vehicle recovery progress.
• Collaborate with team members to support department goals and share information on active cases.
• Handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
• Ensure confidentiality of all company operations, customer information, and technology systems.
