UNC Health Care in Raleigh, NC, seeks a Medical Assistant I, Certified for an outpatient clinic. You will provide routine clinical and administrative support under supervision, rooming patients, collecting vital signs, and assisting with treatments and procedures.

You will also handle phlebotomy, basic tests, medication administration as directed, and patient education, with a focus on accurate documentation and teamwork in a fast-paced clinic.

Formación

• Completion of a Medical Assisting program accredited by either CAAHEP or ABHES is strongly preferred but not required.
• Certification as MA by AAMA, AMT, NCMA, NRCMA, or NCCT is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC is required.
• Prior medical assistant or externship experience is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform rooming/in-take, collect vital signs and patient data.
• Collect patient medical and social history; review current medications and allergies.
• Assist provider during treatments and procedures; perform phlebotomy and administer medications as directed.
• Take and review basic tests (EKG, eye exams) under provider supervision.
• Prepare exam/treatment rooms, ensure supplies and equipment are ready.
• Assist with registration, scheduling, and referrals; answer clinic calls as directed.
