Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking a part-time testing proctor to administer academic and certification exams, schedule appointments, and input data. The role works with the Testing Services Manager to maintain currency in proctoring skills and procedures.

Responsibilities include training, learning the necessary software/hardware, and ensuring FERPA compliance. Strong communication and customer service are essential for interacting with test-takers and staff.

Qualifications

• Associates degree; two years experience (Bachelor's preferred).
• Assessment Center experience required.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Excellent word processing and spreadsheet computing skills required.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, telephone, confidentiality, and customer service skills.
• Flexibility and ability to multitask.
• Willingness to answer questions from fellow proctors and assist in launching and concluding exams.
• Ability to hear, talk, see, read and write on a constant basis.
• Sitting, standing and walking; infrequent lifting/bending.
• Ability to interpret complex instructions and use problem solving to decide.

Responsibilities

• Provide general college information about services.
• Administer academic/certification exams through Testing Services.
• Schedule appointments for exams including eligibility and availability.
• Input data when necessary.
• Participate in training to stay current in technical areas.
• Learn software/hardware needed to administer tests and document results.
• Participate in vendor mandatory training.
• Promote diversity and FERPA compliance in all activities.
