Job summary

USO in Dover, DE is seeking a Center Operations Coordinator to assist in operating and maintaining one or more USO Centers, delivering programs, events, and a welcoming environment for troops and visitors.

You will support volunteers, handle light admin and cash handling, coordinate communications, open/close procedures, and help promote center activities through flyers and social media while upholding USO guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years work experience in admin, event management, marketing support or customer service.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Able to interact professionally with diverse audiences and adapt to changing needs.

Responsibilities

• Meet and welcome guests; orient them to Center offerings and services.
• Assist with opening/closing, key control, and safety protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of Center and equipment.
• Help plan programs/events and coordinate volunteer coverage.
• Create promotional flyers; manage social media content per guidelines.
