Job summary

The USO is seeking a Center Operations Specialist to manage day-to-day operations at the Schofield Barracks center, deliver outstanding member service, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for service members and families.

You will help design and deliver high-quality programs and events, coordinate volunteers, and work with partners to maximize impact while maintaining budgetary controls and clear reporting. This role emphasizes community support and mission-driven service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in event management, marketing, customer service, or related roles.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with professionalism.
• Experience with budgeting, inventory, and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day Center operations ensuring a safe, welcoming environment.
• Engage with Center visitors and serve as a subject matter expert on amenities and services.
• Maintain operations within budget and report on inventory, cash, and financial data.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures for local operations.
• Plan and oversee programs, events, and activities in coordination with leadership.
• Coordinate communications for social media, local media, and website publications.
