Job summary

USO Fort Wainwright is seeking a Center Operations Specialist to deliver safe, welcoming experiences for service members and families. You will manage facilities, coordinate programs, and supervise volunteers to ensure high-quality experiences at the Center.

The role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work non-standard hours. You will collaborate with USO staff, military leadership, and community partners to plan events, track inventory, and report on

Qualifications

Strong interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interact with USO leadership, the public and military audiences with integrity and professionalism.
Proficiency with computers and electronics; working knowledge of MS Office and related software.
Experience with volunteer management software and social media platforms a plus.

Responsibilities

Execute day-to-day Center operational procedures to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.
Engage with Center visitors and manage vendors when needed.
Monitor inventory and assist with budget reporting and ad hoc analyses.
Develop and maintain SOPs for local operations and Center activities.
Plan and oversee programs, logistics, and volunteer coordination.
