Job summary

The USO Center Operations Specialist position is located in San Antonio, TX, focusing on day-to-day operations, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for service members and their families.

You will plan and oversee programs and events, coordinate volunteers, manage inventory and budgets, and help communicate announcements and social media content to engage the community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 2+ years in event management, marketing, retail, customer service, recreation facility or related role.
• Experience in a non-profit, military, multicultural and/or global organization is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day Center operations ensuring a safe, welcoming and clean environment.
• Engage visitors and inform them about amenities, tours, classes and services.
• Manage budgets, inventory, cash handling and generate related reports.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for local operations.
• Plan and oversee programs, events, logistics, and social media activities.
• Coordinate volunteers, training, and recognition events.
