Job summary

USO seeks a Center Operations professional to manage daily center activities, engage visitors, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment. You will handle inventories, budgets, and reporting while coordinating programs and events across locations.

You will build relationships with military personnel, community partners, and donors, while guiding volunteers and staff to deliver high-impact services and programs. Flexibility for non-standard hours is required.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with professionalism.
• Experience with basic cash handling and reporting procedures.
• Proficiency using common software including MS Office and social platforms.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day Center operational procedures ensuring a safe, welcoming and clean environment.
• Engage with Center visitors and serve as subject matter expert about amenities, tours, programs and services.
• Assist with budget tracking, inventory reporting, and cash handling; provide data for reports.
• Create and maintain SOPs for local operations to enable prompt reporting.
• Plan and oversee programs, logistics, inventory, budget, social media and database management.
• Coordinate communications and outreach for social media and local media.
• Support program delivery at USO centers and events on and off installations.
• Develop relationships with the U.S. Military, community leaders, partners and donors.
• Coordinate resources including volunteers; oversee volunteer participation and onboarding.
• Oversee volunteer onboarding, training, recognition events, and reporting.
• May operate a USO or personal vehicle.
• Other duties as assigned.
