Job summary

The USO Center Operations Specialist position focuses on running daily operations at one or more USO Centers, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining a welcoming environment for service members and families.

You will help plan and administer cost-efficient programs and events, manage volunteers, and coordinate with partners to ensure successful program delivery across locations near Schofield Barracks. Strong communication and budgeting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years work experience in event management, marketing, retail, customer service, recreation facility or related role.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency using computers and electronics equipment including Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Digital Cheetah preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day Center operational procedures, ensuring a safe, welcoming and clean environment.
• Interact with Center visitors and manage center amenities; troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Maintain inventory and assist with budget reporting; provide data for reports.
• Create and maintain an SOP file detailing local procedures and activities.
• Plan and oversee programs, logistics, inventory, budget and communications.
• Assist with program communications for social media, local media and websites.
