Job summary

KidStrong Battery Park is seeking a General Manager to lead the center, foster a culture of learning, and deliver an exceptional experience for families, kids, and the coaching team.

You will drive center operations, sales, and leadership initiatives, recruit and train coaches, manage scheduling, promote events, and monitor KPIs to maximize retention and profitability while upholding KidStrong values and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Athletic or coaching background with experience working with children aged 15 months to 11 years.
• Coach Certification through HQ Training and Certification.
• Complete required LearnUpon training per HQ policy.
• Comfortable communicating with parents/guardians about various topics.
• Prior experience in management is required.
• Pediatric OT/PT background is a plus but not required.
• Experience with Google and Microsoft platforms.
• Familiarity with systems like ZenPlanner, LearnUpon, CareerPlug, ADP, and FranConnect.
• Knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Understand center KPIs and financials to make informed business decisions.
• Build strong relationships with families and provide exceptional customer service.
• Oversee center initiatives such as maintenance, training, and brand consistency.
• Daily/Weekly/Monthly cleaning and maintenance, delegating tasks to ensure execution.
• Schedule and communicate coach schedules; promote events to maximize profitability.
• Lead coaching candidates through training and evaluations; supervise staff development.
