Job summary

Life Skills Autism Academy is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to support children on the autism spectrum with Applied Behavior Analysis therapy in a 1:1 and small-group setting. The role requires an active RBT certification or willingness to obtain one within 45 days, plus background checks and a strong safety mindset.

Pay range is $17-$23 per hour. The position demands reliability, physical stamina, and excellent written and verbal communication while using mobile devices to log data

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain current RBT certification.
• Willing to undergo background check.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• Reliable transportation and proof of license/insurance.
• Must be 18+ and willing to CPR/First Aid and TB test.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and physical activity.
• Professional presentation and conduct; reliable attendance.
• Patience and ability to keep clients focused.
• Able to follow detailed instructions and use tech to record data.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings with ABA therapy.
• Follow behavior protocols per client treatment plan by BCBA/BC.
• Collect, record, and summarize client data.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training per treatment plans.
• Ensure timely documentation according to procedures.
• Communicate progress to parents as directed by BCBA/BC.
• Maintain a clean, safe therapy environment.
• Assist BCBA/BC with preparation of materials and assessments.
