Job summary

Life Skills Autism Academy seeks exceptional behavior technicians to provide ABA therapy in a 1:1 setting under supervision of a BCBA. Candidates must have RBT certification or complete the 40-hour course and sit for the competency exam within 45 days of employment.

Pay range is $17-$23 per hour. Responsibilities include direct client care, data collection, caregiver training, and maintaining accurate documentation. Must meet qualification requirements and participate in background checks.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain current RBT certification.
• Willing to participate in background check process.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license/insurance where applicable.
• Able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification if not current.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Patience and reliability in supporting children with autism.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 and group ABA therapy in client settings.
• Follow treatment plans developed by BCBA/BC and implement protocols.
• Collect and summarize data on client behavior.
• Assist with parent/caregiver training.
• Maintain timely documentation of sessions and progress.
• Communicate with parents per BCBA guidance.
• Maintain a safe and organized therapy environment.
• Assist BCBA with client materials and assessments.
