Job summary

Life Skills Autism Academy is seeking an exceptional behavior technician to provide 1:1 and group ABA therapy under BCBA supervision. Prior or willing completion of RBT exam within 45 days is required; compensation ranges from $17 to $23 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities include direct client care, data collection, and collaboration with parents and caregivers to reinforce progress and safety in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to participate in the company’s background check process.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must have reliable transportation and, in some cases, driver’s license and valid car insurance.
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and TB test if not current.
• Must be able to perform job physically, including lifting up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings with intensive teaching and natural environment training.
• Follow prescribed protocols for skill acquisition and behavior reduction as per treatment plan.
• Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training aligned with treatment plans and protocols.
• Ensure documentation is completed on time and in line with procedures.
• Communicate progress with parents and caregivers as directed by BCBA/BC.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
• Assist BCBA/BC in preparation of client materials and assessments.
