Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a professional driver to operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles, delivering between service centers and turn-points.

Responsibilities include pre-trip and post-trip inspections, accurate daily logs, hazard recognition, and occasional dock or forklift work. A valid Class A CDL, clean MVR, and ability to meet DOT requirements are required, with a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid CDL (Class A) or CLP prior to entering job classification.
• Must maintain an acceptable MVR per hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT regulatory requirements under 49 CFR Part 391.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to hook up and break down sets of trailers that require an average lift force.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and operate safely.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations including doubles and straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and inter-trip safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies to/from a tractor and/or trailer.
• Maintain accurate daily logs.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate on delays or issues.
• Comply with hazmat regulations and placarding as required.
• Assist with dock/work when needed.
