Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Residential Rear Load Driver to service customers by collecting waste and recycling materials using various trucks. The role requires safe operation, route familiarity, and strong customer interaction.

Applicants must have a valid Class B CDL and a DOT Medical Card, with flexibility for night and weekend shifts. High school diploma or GED is preferred, and this position entails outdoor work in changing conditions.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand a map.
• Ability to enter/exit the truck multiple times per day.
• General knowledge of truck mechanics.
• Good written and verbal communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services safely and efficiently.
• Routinely enter/exit the truck 300–500 times daily.
• Maintain route and driver logs; conduct pre/post-trip inspections.
• Interact professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Ensure cleanliness of truck cab and waste areas.
• Travel between offices and work flexible hours including nights/weekends.
