Job summary

Rumpke is seeking Residential Rear Load Drivers to service waste and recycling routes, operate trucks, and ensure safe, compliant collection for customers. This role requires attention to routes, pre/post inspections, and professional customer interactions.

Candidates should have a valid Class B CDL, DOT Medical Card, be at least 19 years old, and be willing to work nights and weekends. Rumpke offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand a map.
• Ability to enter/exit the truck approximately 300-500 times per day.
• Excellent truck driving/maneuvering skills.
• General knowledge of truck mechanics.
• Good written and verbal communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers, in a safe and compliant way, by emptying trash/recycling containers into truck and hauling to disposal site.
• Routinely enter/exit the truck approximately 300-500 times per day, depending on the assigned route.
• May be required to pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings.
• Replace trash/recycling receptacles neatly at the curb or designated area.
• Clean up waste spills and overflows.
• Maintain and update route & driver log sheets.
• Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and complete logs.
• Professionally interact with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service.
• Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body and ensure cleanliness of truck cab.
• Deliver trash or recycling containers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
